Semiconductor ultrapure water equipment is a complete set of system equipment used to produce ultrapure water in semiconductor factories.Ultrapure water is produced by removing impurities from drinking, river or process water, which contains virtually no impurities other than hydrogen ions and hydroxides, to meet high quality standards, including >18.2MΩ-cm (18.2 Mohm) resistivity and other parameters down to parts per trillion, such as Selective Contaminant Extraction (SCE) and RO Infinity (ROI), combined with Electrodeionization (EDI) in the makeup, primary and polishing stages, to reliably produce ultrapure water.Ultrapure water is widely used in semiconductor equipment production for all wet processing operations, including wafer cleaning, etching or polishing. More advanced techniques use ultrapure water for immersion lithography. Therefore, the purity of ultrapure water is critical to the semiconductor manufacturing process because it is in direct contact with the silicon wafers. Organic matter (TOC), particulate matter, bacteria, metals, and anions are other major impurities that affect product yield.
