Video Showing Rohit Sharma Manhandling Ishan Kishan During 4th Test between IND vs. AUS Viral on Twitter

Social media is known for hyping things and reporting reality as seen in videos sometimes. This leads us to a series of videos, especially where Rohit was seen ‘manhandling’ Ishan Kishan during India vs. Australia 4^th Test, on the field. video regarding Ishan Kishan running to bring a bottle of water during a passage of play surfaced. Here, Kishan on his way back accidentally dropped the bottle to the ground and when he came to pick it up, the Indian team Captain attempted to hit Ishan playfully, however, the latter escaped.

While the event could be a normal exchange, the matter was seen differently by people, and Rohit was accused of disrespecting and manhandling Ishan Kishan. The supporters of Rohit said it was a playful act, others had something else in mind. Rohit and Ishan had earlier played together for years for Mumbai Indians in IPL. Also, both the cricketers have had light-hearted conversations as per those seen in BCCI uploaded materials.

There was also a video about Rohit asking Ishan sarcastically as to why he did not play for India in the next game even after a game against Bangladesh the last year in December, he scored a double hundred. The internet has also witnessed animated discussions between Rohit and Ishan earlier. A particular video on these lines in the dressing room has gone viral where the two were caught in a candid mood. This was during the Indore test when it was the second innings with India batting.

The captain was seen with manic expressions and making hand gestures as if to convey a point to Ishan. Perhaps Rohit wanted the batsmen to hit over the infield as per the message passed. Rohit was enquired about the incident to which he replied that whatever ensued was quite personal and was not related to the game. It was a tactical thing and a personal talk. Ishan did not make it to the team even though failed the performance of KS Bharat with the bat.

Ishan had received the maiden call for the Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 but is playing at XI, which drew some amount of criticism from the public. However, Rohit Sharma has said that it is important to back the guys in the team at times when they fail and they are doing the same for KS as he is a good keeper with experience. Rohit said that he has spoken with Ishan on this and believes that he will also get to play a number of games when his chance comes. And he will not be dropped after two matches as that is not fair. The captain said that they are supporting KS Bharat.
