Xiaomi’s Sub-Brand, Poco, to Launch Poco X7 and X7 Pro 5G: Features and Specifications.
Summary: Poco will soon launch the X7 series in India on January 9, 2025, consisting of two models, Poco X7 and X7 Pro 5G.
On January 9, Poco is scheduled to introduce its mid-range Poco X7 series in India. It has been revealed that the upcoming Poco X7 and X7 Pro smartphones are equipped with AMOLED screens, MediaTek CPUs, and an IP69 rating.
Both models will be targeting the mid-range smartphone segment. Poco has started to flaunt the look and salient features of these devices as the launch date draws near. Let’s have a look at what these new models have to offer to the users.
Poco X7 Pro
The Poco X7 Pro will be a rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi Turbo in China. This smartphone will feature the cutting-edge MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor, along with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage across all variants.
Notably, it will be the first device in India to operate on the new Hyper OS 2.0 UI, expected to be based on Android 15. Moreover, Poco has confirmed it will be equipped with a substantial 6,550mAh battery and support rapid 90W charging.
Poco X7 Pro will showcase a sleek rear panel, likely incorporating a striking black and yellow dual-tone design. Its camera module is expected to take inspiration from the iPhone 16, imparting a modern and premium aesthetic.
It is anticipated to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, delivering a 1.5K resolution and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate for fluid visuals. Enhanced durability will come from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Poco X7
The Poco X7, while mirroring the Pro version's design, is set to feature a square camera module with rounded edges. It will boast a 6.67-inch AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Instead of the Dimensity 8400 Ultra, the X7 will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor.
Like the Pro variant, it will have a 50-megapixel primary camera equipped with OIS. It may come with a slightly smaller 5,110mAh battery, yet it will still provide sufficient battery life for the majority of users.
Additionally, the device will offer LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The X7 will include a 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with peak brightness reaching up to 3,000 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also have an IP69 rating for exceptional water and dust resistance.
