WhatsApp to Come Up with a Feature to Add Custom Descriptions on Forwarded Media

WhatsApp will launch a new feature of adding personalized descriptions to forwarded media such as images, videos, GIFs, etc., and three new security features.

WhatsApp is working on a list of new updates with features such as the custom description for forwarded media files such as images, GIFs, documents, and videos. It is also coming with three added security measures. All of these are in testing mode, and the beta version of these is already up on Google Play Beta Program. Some of the testers of the beta version have already installed the update and using the features. However, issues with updates and viewing status as well as downloading videos have been reported.

WhatsApp will launch a newer update soon to address these issues. Also, it will come with a new feature that will allow users to add more information and context about their forwarded media. The feature is at beta tests and the report furnished screenshots of the latest update. You can remove the original caption for the forwarded images and instead use a personalized description. You can send a separate message with a custom description to deliver a better sense than the original message.

Users will be able to add details and context to forwarded media making it simpler for the receiver to comprehend the content.
