Samsung Unveils Galaxy S25 Edge: A Fusion of Ultra-Slim Design and Premium Performance
Summary: Samsung released the Galaxy S25 Edge, the slimmest Galaxy S phone yet at 5.8mm, boasting a 200MP camera and advanced AI features.
Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S25 Edge, the slimmest device in the Galaxy S series lineup, indicating a crucial milestone. The S25 Edge, at only 5.8mm thick and weighing 163 grammes, exemplifies Samsung's commitment to creating a smartphone that is both aesthetically pleasing and functionally sturdy.
Vice Presidents Jiyoung Lee and Hyoungshin Park of Samsung Electronics' Mobile Experience (MX) Business' Design Team discussed the design concept for the Galaxy S25 Edge with Samsung Newsroom. Lee focused on creating a simple design by removing unnecessary parts, making it easy to hold with one hand, and reducing wrist strain during long use. The flat front and gently curved back improve comfort and usability.
The device features a strong titanium side frame for durability and a stylish look. The color options (Titanium Silver, Titanium Icyblue, and Titanium Jetblack) were chosen to match the Galaxy S25 series' bright color theme, inspired by light's full spectrum. The frame and back cover are designed as one mass, giving it a seamless and uniform look.
The Galaxy S25 Edge, though small, offers great performance with its 200MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide lens, and smart AI features like Galaxy AI and Gemini Live for enhanced photography and productivity. It also boasts a 6.7-inch dynamic AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and brightness reaching 2,600 nits for an engaging viewing experience.
The Galaxy S25 Edge can be pre-ordered now and will be released on May 30, 2025. The starting price is $1,099.99 for the 256GB model and $1,219.99 for the 512GB version. This new Samsung phone is designed for those seeking a high-quality, lightweight smartphone that offers both functionality and performance.
