Sadhguru Undergoes Brain Surgery for Internal Bleeding: Is in the Healing Process Now
Summary: Sadhguru undergoes brain surgery after suffering a chronic brain bleed at the Delhi hospital. The Isha Foundation shares an update on the recovery.
Jaggi Vasudev, popularly known as "Sadhguru,” underwent brain surgery at the Delhi Hospital due to internal bleeding. As per the statements given by the Isha Foundation, led by Sadhguru himself, he was suffering from a severe headache for the last four weeks, and that turned out to be a life-threatening brain bleed.
On March 15, Sadhguru underwent an MRI scan, which showed excessive bleeding inside the brain. He refused to cancel his prior commitments; he attended the event under the effect of painkillers and powerful sedatives. The surgery was successful, and the Isha Foundation said that Sadhguru is recovering well and is stable now.
The statement read, “Sadhguru has recently undergone a life-threatening brain bleed. The recovery process is going well." He further added, “Sadhguru was suffering from an excessive headache for the last four weeks. The headache got worse by March 14, 2024, when he arrived in Delhi. Sadhguru underwent an urgent MRI at 4.30 p.m. the same day, which revealed a massive bleed in the brain. There was evidence of internal bleeding that had been ongoing in the last 3 to 4 weeks, as well as fresh bleeding that had developed in the previous 24 to 48 hours of the examination."
A video was posted on Sadhguru’s Instagram handle, sharing an update on his recovery. Dr. Vinit Suri from Apollo Hospital said, “We were joking with him that we have done what we could, but you are healing yourself. The improvement we are seeing is beyond our expectations. He is recovering extremely well. All his brain, body, and vital parameters are normal, and he is making steady progress.”
