Ola CEO Bhavesh Aggarwal tweeted, “The OlaElectric BOSS sale - Biggest Ola Season Sale, is now open for early access to our amazing community for today! Crazy offers and exclusive benefits! As crazy as Ola S1 scooters starting at just ₹49,999!! The BOSS of all products, and prices, EVs, is here.”
In September, Ola recorded its lowest monthly sales of the year. For the second consecutive month, it sold 23,965 cars in September, marking a month-over-month decrease.
TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto, Ola's biggest competitors, closed the difference during that time, citing increases in their market shares for five and three months, respectively.
The firm offers up to ₹10,000 off the whole S1 range, plus additional perks worth up to ₹21,000. Perks include a ₹5,000 exchange incentive, 140+ MoveOS features worth₹6,000, an eight-year battery warranty worth ₹7,000, and ₹3,000 in hypercharging credit.
Customers can benefit from a referral plan that includes a₹3,000 discount for each referral and a ₹2,000 discount for referees who purchase the S1. The top 100 recommending members can earn rewards of up to ₹11,11,111. The sale includes further bargains on accessories.
Several customers expressed their dissatisfaction with the company's level of service on the platform, despite the enticing deals.
One user wrote, "Nah, never buying even at ₹9,999. Had enough trouble with your service centers."
While another wrote, "After waiting for four months, today I got a call from Ola that my bike is ready. I went to the service station, and the bike is as it was when I left."
