Operation Sindoor was a military response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals. The operation targeted terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to demolish infrastructures that support cross-border terrorism.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri informed the delegations on the need to communicate India's commitment to counterterrorism and the rationale for Operation Sindoor. He pointed out the importance of combating narratives that portray India as an aggressor, stating that the operation was a calculated reaction to persistent threats.
The countries chosen for this outreach are major partners and influential members of the international community, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, and China. The delegations will hold high-level discussions, providing evidence of Pakistan's involvement in terrorism and reaffirming India's commitment to regional peace and security.
