Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are on board at the space station since June 2024, and on January 20 Musk announced that Trump has requested him to hasten their return.
In August 2024, the space agency publicly stated that it had asked SpaceX to bring Williams and Wilmore back on the SpaceX Crew-9 spacecraft. SpaceX is a private company that undertakes routine missions every six months that were established by millionaire Musk.
