Vikrant Massey has announced his retirement from acting until he deems the time right.

Summary: Vikrant Massey quit acting at the age of 37; he announced it by posting a heartfelt note on Instagram.

Vikrant Massey today, early in the morning, announced his retirement from acting. Fans were taken aback by his sudden retirement plans; many have attributed this to the failure of his recent movie, The Sabarmati Report.

Vikrant Massey Posted, "The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realize it's time to recalibrate and go back home. As a husband, father, & son. And also as an actor."

He further continued with, "So coming 2025, we will meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. The last 2 movies and many years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between."

Fans were in shock and expressed their disbelief in the comments. "I hope it's not true," wrote one, while the other wrote, "Fill your cup, then be back." "Why do you want to become the next Imran Khan of Bollywood? We already lost one of the finest actors just because he chose family." "Aisa mat karo, bhai.” One user wrote, "Bro, you are at peak. Why do you think like this?"

Vikrant Massey made his debut on TV with the show “Dhoom Machao Dhoom.” He then appeared in ‘Balika Vadhu’ in 2009 and soon rose to fame. He was also widely recognized for his work in “A Death in the Gunj,” directed by Konkana Sen Sharma. Over the year he worked in movies like Gaslight, Haseena Dilruba, Ramprasad ki Tehrvi, and Chhapaak.

He worked in popular OTT series like Broken But Beautiful, Criminal Justice, and Mirzapur. He was awarded the "Actor Of The Year" title at the NDTV Indian Of The Year competition last year for “12th Fail” by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
