As soon as followers on X (previously Twitter) began to "decode" this picture, they claimed that the two stars were living together for a year and were in a relationship. There are rumors that this picture Trisha shared was shot during a cruise they had together while traveling overseas. 

A few followers claimed that Vijay was wearing the same shoes in the photo with Trisha and at the airport. Other photos that Trisha's followers have uploaded claim to have been taken at Vijay's new residence. 

With all of this decoding, the gossip mills went crazy on June 24, and fans on social media began to take sides. Some were thrilled for Vijay and Trisha, while others sided with Vijay's wife, Sangeetha, and hurled insults.

Ghilli was Vijay and Trisha's first collaborative film, released in 2005. The film went on to become a success; in fact, it remained a hit upon its most recent re-release. The crowd praised their on-screen chemistry, and fans still think they're the greatest on-screen duo. 

They appeared in Aathi, Thirupachi, and Kuruvi after Ghilli, but they ceased working together after Kuruvi in 2008. Vijay and Trisha were rumored to have been having an affair since their Ghilli days, and after Kuruvi, Vijay's family intervened and placed pressure on him to cease acting with her. 

Back then, both actors made it clear that they were only friends. The two actors reunited for Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo in 2023, following a 15-year break.
