According to the Deccan Herald, a police officer close to the probe indicated that Gurucharan Singh was paranoid of being'surveilled' by someone and would frequently change his email addresses. The actor is alleged to have used 27 unique email accounts.
This comes a day after various publications revealed facts about the actor's financial situation before he went missing. Singh reportedly had ten bank accounts and relied heavily on credit cards. It was also said that he frequently used credit cards and was in a poor financial situation.
The last time we saw Gurucharan Singh, who portrayed Roshan Sodhi in TMKOC, was on April 22, 2024. Four days later, his father lodged a missing person's report, stating, "My son Gurucharan Singh, age 50, had left at 8:30 am on April 22nd to go to Mumbai." He went to the airport to catch a flight, but he never made it to Mumbai, he never went back to his house, and his phone is unreachable. He is mentally stable, and we had been looking for him, but suddenly he has gone missing."
Delhi Police have also visited the sets of Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah and spoke with the actors on set who were in touch with Gurucharan Singh. There were rumors about his payment dues, but the police confirmed that his payment was cleared long ago.
According to the officer, Singh expressed a wish to meditate in the Himalayas. The Delhi Police teams got statements from around 50 people in Delhi and Mumbai. They have also made visits to places such as Haryana, Punjab, and Uttarakhand in the hopes of collecting any information on the case.
