Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Box Office Collection Day 6: Earns its Lowest, But Crosses the Mark of ₹10 crore
Summary: Randeep Hooda’s movie “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar” earned its lowest on Day 6, but managed to cross the ₹10 crore mark.
Randeep Hooda-starrer “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar” earned the lowest on its sixth day at the box office. As per the reports, the film only managed to earn around ₹0.86 crore, not even ₹1 crore on day 6 in theaters.
Right from the release, the movie had a slow start at the box office, with an opening of ₹1.05 crore, but gained momentum during the first weekend. The movie managed to maintain the same pace on Monday as well, but after that, there was a significant dip in the earnings of this period drama. The film's total earnings now stand at ₹10 crore.
It was also Randeep Hooda's first time directing a film. On March 22, "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar" was released in Hindi and Marathi. Amit Sial and Rajesh Khera play significant parts, and Ankita Lokhande plays the female protagonist.
The film depicts Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, one of India's most prominent personalities during the independence war. He was known as Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. The film depicts the freedom fighter's journey and challenges as he fights for India's independence.
Speaking about this with the ANI News Agency, “This movie is based on his (Veer Savarkar) life; it is a story between 1897 and 1950. I dealt with all of the misconceptions about him without fear. When this movie came to me, I realized that I don't look like him, and thus, I lost weight for this film.” He also posted a picture of his transformation for the movie on his Instagram account.
