Sonakshi Sinha’s take on her rumored marriage with Zaheer Iqbal

It was rumored that actor Sonakshi Sinha and her alleged boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal are all set to get married in Mumbai on June 23. Both Zaheer and Sonkshi haven’t made any comment on this matter, but the rumors are in full swing. 

Sonakshi’s father, actor Shatrughan Sinha, has broken silence on the claims of his daughter’s marriage. He said, “I'm in Delhi right now. After the election, I flew down here. I haven't spoken with anyone about my daughter's plans. So, your query is: is she getting married? The truth is that she has not informed me anything about it. Main bhi utna hi jaanta ho, jitna main media se padha hai. If and when she takes me into confidence, my wife and I will offer the pair our blessings. We wish her happiness always."

He further stated that “"people close to me have asked me why I am not aware of this (the alleged wedding), and the media is aware of it. All I can say is, Aaj kal ke bachche consent nahi lete maa-baap ke, sirf inform karte hain.” He said, "We are waiting to be informed."

Meanwhile, Sonakshi has also given her statement on the matter. In an interview, when asked about her marriage, she said, “"I am asked about it all the time, and it's almost like it goes in one ear and out the other. First of all, it is no one's business. Second, it is my decision, so I am not sure why people are so bothered about it. People seem to question me more about my marriage than my parents, which I find amusing. Now I'm just used to it. It does not concern me. People are curious. What can we do about it?”
