Shah Rukh Khan's Security Level Has Been Increased To Y+ Due To Received Death Threats
Summary: Reports indicate that Shah Rukh Khan had only two police constables providing security for him prior to this.
The Maharashtra government has elevated the security level for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan to Y-plus, citing "potential threats" directed at the actor. These threats, reportedly from unidentified individuals, emerged following the success of his recent films "Pathaan" and "Jawan."
Shah Rukh Khan had only two police constables for security, and reports indicate that on October 5, the Maharashtra Home Department issued a letter to higher police authorities regarding the actor's security. The letter from the Home Department states, "Considering the recent and potential threats to actor Shah Rukh Khan, all unit commanders are urged to provide Y+ level security on a payment basis immediately during his visits, engagements, and stays in their jurisdiction, pending further recommendations from the high-level committee and review committee decisions, to prevent any unforeseen incidents.
Individuals with a significant threat perception are granted Y-plus security, comprising six personal security officers (PSOs) on rotating shifts and five armed guards stationed at their residences.
In his upcoming professional endeavor, Shah Rukh Khan is set to appear in Rajkumar Hirani's film "Dunki," featuring Taapsee Pannu as the female lead. The movie is scheduled for release on December 22 this year.
