Ram Charan’s Game Changer box office numbers 'fraud’, says Ram Gopal Varma.

Ram Gopal Varma called the Box office numbers of Ram Charan’s new release ‘Game Changer’ fraud. Varma raised concerns regarding the movie's revenue, pointing out differences between the numbers given by trade analysts and those asserted by the producers. He expressed his worries on X, claiming that Game Changer's team had made false claims about their collections.

Varma voiced concerns about the possible effect on the standing of South Indian cinema and questioned the credibility of the movie's claimed earnings. 

He brought up blockbuster movies like Baahubali, RRR, and KGF 2, saying that their success can be called into question due to the alleged inaccuracies in Game Changer's box office performance. Although he cleared producer Dil Raju of any misconduct, Varma questioned where the alleged false information came from.

Ram Gopal Varma wrote on X, “If @ssrajamouli and @SukumarWritings skyrocketed Telugu cinema in real-time collections into fantastically stratospheric heights thereby sending legitimate shock waves into Bollywood, the people behind G C succeeded in proving that the south is much more FANTASTIC in being a FRAUD."

“I truly don’t know who’s behind this highly humiliating, disgracing insult of undermining the extraordinary achievements of South thanks to Baahubali, RRR, KGF 2, Kantara, etc and all of their achievements will now be in doubt because of G C claims.”

"I don’t know who’s behind these unbelievably naive lies, but for sure it can’t be producer Dil Raju because he is a truly grounded realist and he’s incapable of the fraud that is being committed."

According to the movie's official social media page, Game Changer's producers reported that the movie made 186 crores on its first day of release on January 10. If this is accurate, it would rank as the fourth-best opening Indian film ever, behind only Pushpa 2, Baahubali 2, and RRR. 

However, trade sources claimed that the movie made less than 100 crore worldwide, with some sources, such as Sacnilk, reporting that it only made 80 crore.
