Kartik Aaryan Open Up on Losing Opportunities to Star Kids.
Summary: Kartik Aaryan reveals the challenges faced by him in the film industry.
The actor opened up on the struggles he faced in the movie industry since his debut. How the most important roles always land up to the star kids. He has achieved lots of success in his acting career despite not coming from a film fraternity.
He gained popularity from his debut film Pyaar Ka Punchnama, released in 2011. Later, he went on to give hits like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
Kartik addressed how he frequently competes with star kids and sometimes loses out on possibilities. Nepotism has long been a source of contention in Bollywood, with numerous actors, directors, and producers commenting on how family ties influence professional opportunities.
He said, “Meri bhi opportunities kayi baar aise gayi hai jahan pe mujhe aisa laga ki maybe I should have gotten the opportunity rather than someone who is from the family or whatever.”
“It’s not their fault. I have made my peace with it. If I had been born in that family, the same would have happened to me too.”
Many actors and filmmakers, like Aaryan, have resisted the notion that only individuals with filmi background should have a chance at stardom, despite the industry's longstanding reputation for producing star kids.
His most recent movie, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, has been a huge hit at the box office. It was released on Diwali and made about ₹400 crore, more than the star-studded action movie Singham Again, which debuted on the same day. His next project, Aashiqui 3, was announced in 2023, although there may be a delay in its release, according to rumors.
