Vidya Balan and Kartik Aaryan collaborate on film for the first time in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. After 17 years, Vidya Balan is back as Manjulika, and Kartik reprises his role as Rooh Baba. Despite their hostile on-screen relationship, people noticed their off-screen banter. 

She had previously mentioned that he talks to an unknown woman on the phone all the time, hinting at their relationship. Now, Vidya disclosed that he is single in an exclusive interview with News 18.

A female fan of Kartik proposed to him with a passionate poem during a recent media event. Speaking about it, Vidya said, “Anyone who says they hate attention is lying. When people say that, especially actors, male actors, and Kartik Aaryan, it’s just a lie! No chance! He enjoys it and he should. He isn’t awkward about female attention at all.” 

Kartik laughed in response to her and said, “But when did I say I hate attention? I love it, be it male attention or female attention.”

Vidya erupted in laughter at what he had said. She responded by making a joke and ultimately giving away Kartik's relationship status, ending all rumors. “Great, so he has opened all doors now.” 

She also gave him advice, saying, “The only relationship advice I would like to give him is to get into one and have one.”

Vidya revealed the two of them started on a quirky note. She recalled an episode, “He’s great fun and I've got to say that he’s a sport. So, I love ribbing him. This camaraderie began even before we began working. I had first met him at an award function and I’ll never forget that. My manager told me that her niece is a big fan of Kartik and that she loved Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. She requested me to get a photo or a video of him if I meet him.”
