Imtiaz Ali to work on his next film with Fahadh Faasil

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali announced that Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil will star in his eagerly awaited film, The Idiot of Istanbul. Imtiaz recently talked about how excited he is about the movie, Fahadh's much-anticipated Bollywood debut.

In an interview with a Hollywood reporter, Imtiaz opened up about his upcoming movie, saying, "This announcement is out. But, it's a little ahead of its time. There is a movie, but, I don't know it might not be the next one up. But, yes, I have been trying to make this film for a long time. It's called The Idiot of Istanbul. I would love to do this and I plan to make this film with Fahadh."

If the reports are to be believed, Tripti Dimrii will play the lead role. Fans are excited about Fahadh's Bollywood debut. 

The shooting will begin in the first part of 2025, leaving fans wondering what Imtiaz's next hit will be, following flicks like Jab We Met and Tamasha.

Professionally, Imtiaz Ali most recently directed Amar Singh Chamkila, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra.

Fahadh Faasil was last seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule, alongside Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna. 

He also appeared in Aavesham, a movie about three Bengaluru college-going youngsters who befriend local bandit Ranga Annan, a gangster, seeking his help to discipline their college bullies.
