HanuMan Review: A pleasant Treat to Eyes with Teja Sajja in the Main Lead, and Prasanth Varma’s first Cinematic Film
Summary: Get ready to witness the magic of the Indian Cinematic Universe. Prasanth Varma and Teja Sajja are here with a bang.
You must have heard about the Marvels and DC Universe. People are crazy about it all around the world. Did you know even India has its own Cinematic universe.
Directors like Ayan Mukerji directed films like Brahmastra, and now the Indian film director, Prasanth Varma, has created another cinematic universe for Telugu cinema.
Prasanth Varma with his Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU) with its first movie being HanuMan, Teja Sajja being the lead and exceptional actors like Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai and Amritha Aiyer. With this dapper cast we could expect some thrilling visuals from Prasanth Varma’s HanuMan.
Director Prasanth Varma says that, “HanuMan is a culturally rooted film and has nothing to do with religion.”
About Movie
The movie revolves around a fictional village, Anjanadri, which has no existence in the map of the world. It is underdeveloped and is surrounded by a huge statue of Hanuman. The character Hanumantha (Teja Sajja) is a small-time thief living with his sister Anjamma (Varalaxmi). Hanumantha discovers his superpowers and realizes that he could now do more things than just being a small thief. The story is about how the antagonist Michael (Vijay Rai) comes to know about his superpowers, and how the village Anjanadri is in trouble from some negative powers, and HanuMan is the only one who can save this village.
There is nothing new about the story, but the visuals like Teja Sajja and direction of Prasantha Varma have surely created some magic on-screen. This movie is like an underdog, one must definitely watch it at least once.
Every movie has its good and bad factors. So let us discuss the good and bad aspects of the movie.
Good Aspects
Teja Sajja is an absolute treat to watch in the movie. The Characters of Varalaxmi, Vijay and Amritha have also given justice to their roles. Movie has a captivating story with cameos of Srinu, Satya and Ravi Teja (as the monkey), including the cameos of Rakesh Master and Sunishith.
Movies like this make us realize about the hardships that go into making a superhero. The best aspect of the movie is Hamunathas’ relation with his sister Anjamma, and the part where he realizes his power but doesn't know how to use it.
Bad Aspect
The movie could have done so much for the part of Hanumantha and Michaels rivalry, but somehow it did not. The love story between Teja and Amritha has been depicted weekly.
It has top-notch VFX for the beginning part, but during the climax you cannot see the same VFX, the CGI is actually bad.
Conclusion
There’s more to come into the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe, be ready for it. With the sequels starring Kalyai Dasari, it will be fun to watch what will happen next.
