Alia Bhatt Declares Ranbir Kapoor As The Opposite of ‘Toxic’, Describing His ‘Mad and Deep’ Love for Raha: ‘He’s Eager To Be Involved’

Summary: Alia Bhatt shared her thoughts on the criticism Ranbir Kapoor faced due to her recent statements. She discussed how reading articles labeling him as a 'red flag' and 'toxic' made her feel.

Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan appeared on the recent episode of Koffee with Karan. Alia shared that her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, is deeply in love with their daughter Raha. She also talked about the criticism online, where Ranbir was called a 'toxic' person.

Karan questioned Alia, "You've been accused of discussing him a lot?" For those not aware, Ranbir faced criticism when Alia mentioned he didn't like her wearing red lipstick and would ask her to 'wipe it off.' Clarifying, Alia explained, "I have a candid way of speaking. When discussing things in my life, I tend to imitate the person, share anecdotes, and make it personal. Unfortunately, things can be taken out of context, as happened recently."

Alia emphasized that there are more crucial matters to focus on than her statements taken out of context. She mentioned, "My team informed me that it's getting out of hand, but I thought, 'Let it be.' People say things all the time. However, it bothered me when serious articles portrayed him as toxic. I felt bad because he's genuinely the opposite of all that negativity."

However, Alia also shared how Ranbir stays calm in such situations and gives her advice. She mentioned, "I feel there's a line being crossed, but you can't respond to everything. Ranbir tells me, 'Alia, the audience owns you. They can say whatever they want about you. As long as your movies are doing well, don't complain while sitting in your apartment in Bandra.'"

Karan shared about Raha, saying, "Ranbir is wonderfully obsessed with her." Alia agreed, adding, "He's deeply and madly in love with her. He's amazed. Sometimes he just stares at her, and plays games, and in the beginning, he was an expert at handling her burps. He wants to be part of everything, sometimes maybe a bit too much. At home, it feels like we're both competing to look after her."
