Abhishek Bachchan Opens Up: Here's Why He Chooses Silence Over Rumours

Summary: Abhishek Bachchan explained why he doesn't respond to false allegations about his family, adding that speaking up simply promotes negativity and that he'd rather protect his loved ones through silence.

Actor Abhishek Bachchan recently addressed the reason behind his silence on gossip and rumours involving his family. In an interview with ETimes, he said that while earlier such things didn’t bother him, it’s different now because he has a family to protect emotionally.

He believes reacting to false stories often gives them more attention. “Negative news sells,” he said, adding that even explanations get twisted and misused. Instead of feeding the noise, he chooses to remain quiet.

Abhishek also emphasized that trolls don’t just target celebrities, but their families, which makes it more personal. He said people spreading such negativity have to answer to their conscience, not him.

Abhishek recalled a previous incident involving a troll who made a harsh comment. While his friend Sikander Kher was outraged, Abhishek challenged the troll, adding, "Say it to my face if you really mean it." He emphasized how easy it is to hide behind a screen and spew hatred.

Despite the negativity, Abhishek remains committed to his profession. He is now promoting his forthcoming film Kaalidhar Laapata, which will be released on ZEE5 on July 4, and is also working on Siddharth Anand's 'Kig' with Shah Rukh Khan.

Abhishek's calm and mature demeanor serves as a reminder that quiet may be more powerful than words, especially when it comes to protecting those you care about.
