Shakti Kapoor Shakes a Leg to Songs with Padmini Kolhapure on India’s Best Dancer Reality Series
Padmini Kolhapure and Tejaswini Kolhapure's older sister, Shivangi Kapoor, is married to Shakti Kapoor. He is Shraddha Kapoor's father. Shakti Kapoor, a veteran actor, recounted working with Padmini Kolhapure on Dev Anand's Swami Dada and how she used to nickname him "Jeejs" as a joke on the set. On the third season of the dance reality series India's Best Dancer, he furthermore danced with his sister-in-law Padmini Kolhapuri.
Shakti Kapoor said, "Even before we were married, Padmini started calling me Jeejs on the set when I was filming for the movie Swami Dada." She recognized my affection for Shivangi Kolhapure, and Padmini was aware of my desire to wed her. Soon, not just Padmini but every woman began calling me Jeej. I was recognized as an "International Jeejs!"Shakti and Padmini dance to several songs with the contestants.
They both performed on stage throughout the show alongside the other contestants. The male candidates from India's Best Dancer 3 joined Padmini and Shakti Kapoor for their performance. They performed on well-known songs like Tunna Tunna from Adharm, Tumse Milkar Na Jaane Kyu from Pyar Jhukta Nahi, Gadbad Ho Gayee from Chaal Baaz, Aa Dekhen Zara, and Puchho Na Yaar Kya Hua from Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai were other songs that Padmini and Shakti enjoyed dancing to.
Their dance moves captivated judges Terence Lewis, Geeta Kapur, and Sonali Bendre. In his career, Shakti has played a variety of oddball roles, such as Crime Master Gogo in Andaz Apna Apna, Chuttitya in Gunda, Nandu in Raja Babu, Vikram in Qurbani, and others. In 1972, Padmini Kolhapure, just seven years old, made her acting debut. Films like Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Woh Saat Din, Prem Rog, Zindagi, and others have made her well renowned.
