It includes the construction of patient rooms, intensive care units, emergency units, eight surgical theatres, laboratories, a cafeteria, parking, related facilities and the installation of elevators and safety systems.
Jones Lang LaSalle has been appointed as planning consultant; Scott Tallon Walker as an architect and lead consultant and Edward Williams Architects as architects; Campbell Reith as structural, civil, geotechnical and environmental engineering consultant; Jewson as a material supply contractor.
WSP has been appointed for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design; Fayat Piling as pilling and diaphragm wall contractor; Reach Active for service diversions and utilities.
McGee Group (McGee) has been appointed as the excavation contractor.
The project will be funded by the Department of Health and NHS England.
