U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is planning to build a courthouse building in Charlotte, North Carolina, the US.

The project involves the construction of a 10-story 18,394m2 courthouse building. It includes the construction of meeting rooms, conference facilities, an administrative block, restaurants, waiting halls, office rooms, parking facilities, and the renovation of 12,489m2 Charles R. Jonas Federal Building and the installation of safety and security systems.

The total project will accommodate 10 courtrooms and 15 Judges Chambers (one Court of Appeals Judge, four active District Judges, four Senior Judges, one visiting District Judge, two Magistrate Judges, and three Bankruptcy Judges).

Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Ricci Greene Architects have been appointed as architects.

On January 24, 2017, Jenkins Peer Architects was appointed as an Architect/Engineer.

On September 28, 2017, GSA Public Buildings Service Commissioner approved the final design concept.

In March 2018, Brasfield & Gorrie was appointed as a construction contractor.

As of April 2018, pre-construction activities are underway.

Construction is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2018 with the courthouse building completion is expected by the fourth quarter of 2020 and the completion of renovation by the fourth quarter of 2022.
