The project involves the conversion of a methanol to propylene plant with a production capacity of 500,000TPA. It includes the construction of production units, processing units, control rooms, storage tanks, and related facilities, and the installation of equipment and machinery.
On August 9, 2017, PRTC signed a technology licensing agreement with Air Liquide (AL). According to the agreement, PRTC will share ownership of methanol-to-propylene technology with AL.
On March 9, 2018, PRTC signed the finalized agreement with AL for transferring technology under PARS MTP brand.
