The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is undertaken the construction of a four-lane road on the National Highway-74 in Uttarakhand, India.
The project involves the upgrade of a 71.6km road to four-lane from Haridwar to Nagina. It includes the construction of total length of 4.3km of road comprising 12 primary and 12 secondary bridges, a high bypass in Njibabad, a bridge over the train tracks and two steps to elephants, a bridge of 37 spans in 1.2km and two unique steel structure.
The project also includes the construction of five bypasses with a total length of 16km, service roads, parking bays for heavy vehicles and toll plaza, the installation of signaling and safety systems.
Isolux Corsan Corviam Construction SA has been appointed as a construction contractor.
On July 29, 2015, NHAI issued tenders for the project on EPC mode with a submission date of March 3, 2016.
In February 2016, The tender has been issued for consultancy services for authority engineer for supervision of project with submission date March 3, 2016.
On May 16, 2016, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) reviewed the project plans for the diversion of 64.7ha of forest land towards the construction.
