Millcraft Industries (MI) and McKnight Realty Partners (MRP) are undertaking the redevelopment of two historic buildings in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the US.



The first phase includes the construction of an 18-story building comprising with 2,787m2 retail space in first floor and 580 parking spaces in seven floors, a 161-room hotel and 62 apartments in 10 floors above the eight-story building in the second phase.

A management contract has been signed for Embassy Suites by Hilton Corporation to manage the hotel component.

MI and MRP received funding approvals from U.S. Bank on US$15.7 million in financing, a US$4 million grant from the state to build the new 350 Oliver Avenue and the redevelopment worth US$60 million.

On February 24, 2015, the project received approvals for the phase one.

Construction works are underway.

Scope


The project will redevelop former Saks Fifth Avenue Department store and the 25-story Henry W. Oliver building for mixed-use facilities in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the US.

The US$134 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of a 161-room hotel

2. Construction of 62 apartments

3. Construction of 2,787m2 retail space

4. Construction of 580 parking spaces
