In October 2015, NVE approved the detailed the projects planning, environmental, transport and construction plan (PETCP).
Work on the power lines commenced on March 1, 2016 and completed on May 1, 2017.
On June 15, 2016, Veidekke ASA was awarded a US$23 million civil engineering contract including the construction of a road network, cable conduits, foundations for wind turbines and a transformer building.
Road works and turbine foundations commenced on August 1, 2016 and completed on March 31, 2017.
In September 2016, Luxcara acquired the Egersund wind farm from the initial owner and developer Norsk Vind Egersund AS (NVEA). Upon completion, NVEA will perform maintenance for the wind farm on behalf of Luxcara.
In December 2016, a power purchase agreement (PPA) was signed with Axpo Holding AG.
On December 23, 2016, Luxcara reached finance close from the syndicate banks of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (SEB) and KfW Ipex Bank GmbH.
