L G Development Group (LGD) is building a residential tower in Chicago, Illinois, the US.
The project involves the construction of a nine-story apartment tower and a penthouse building with 79 condominiums. It includes the construction of 99 parking spaces and related facilities.
On August 12, 2015, the revised plan was proposed.
In September 2015, the project was supported by West Central Association and West Loop Community Organization (WLCO). LGD agreed to make changes to the plan including reducing the number of balconies on the front of the building facing Peoria Street, adding more glass and stainless steel to balconies and enhancing the main entrance of the building to differentiate from the adjacent garage entrance.
However, on September 24, 2015, LGD submitted an unchanged plan to the City Planning Commission due to which in November 2015, West Central Association and WLCO pulled their support.
A meeting for the review of the zoning of the site was held on March 17, 2016, by the Chicago Plan Commission.
In May 2016, LGD received approval from the Chicago Plan Commission.
In August 2016, West Loop residents filed a lawsuit against LGD to stop the project.
