The Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) is planning to build a bus terminus in Nandhivaram, Tamil Nadu, India.
The project involves the construction of a bus terminus to handle about 2,000 buses per day on 26ha of land. I It includes the construction of a new bus station, restrooms, bus bays, a commercial complex and related infrastructure.
On August 26, 2015, Tamil Nadu Government granted administrative sanction of US$57 million for the project.
On March 2016, Vandalur was identified as the location for the project but it ended in a legal tangle and the Supreme Court adjudicated in favour of the land owners, land being used as a parking lot at Vandalur zoo. Now CMDA is considering the land at Nandivaram.
